WHAT IS A MENSTRUAL CUP?

The menstrual cup is a container made of surgical silicone that is inserted inside the vagina (like a tampon) during menstruation, adapting to the vaginal walls of each woman at all times, without having to worry about it moving.

The cup collects menstrual flow inside and can be worn for up to 12 hours without having to worry. It is more economical to use than other disposable products, since with proper maintenance it can last up to 10 years and its cost is amortized in two months.

At the end of the cycle, simply sterilize it with boiling water in a menstrual cup sterilizer or a saucepan and store it in your pouch until the next menstruation.

All of our menstrual cups are manufactured using German medical grade silicone, ISO 10993 certified, as is our red dye, which is organic and also ISO 10993 certified. The transparent color in our cups does not contain any pigment.

Each menstrual cup comes in a sealed pouch to ensure total hygiene. This bag is made with PLA, a non-plastic and biodegradable material so it contributes to the environment by being #zero plastic and #zero waste.

We include a GOTS certified organic cotton bag in all our cups as a gift so that you can store it when you are not using it.

No bacteria can remain on its totally smooth surface and it does not absorb any liquid, so there is no alteration of the natural vaginal environment. As it is made of medical silicone, it does not scratch or dry out the vaginal walls and does not leave fiber residue (unlike tampons and extra pads).

It is compatible with the use of the IUD and the contraceptive ring. Menstrual cup use is not associated with any known cases of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). Our silicone is eco-friendly. With its use, you avoid having to use pads and tampons, highly polluting to the environment, since in the manufacture of these products are used various chemicals such as industrial bleaches, and also take many years to degrade.

• The Sileu Classic menstrual cup has a flexibility of 5. It adapts perfectly to the vaginal walls without moving and without risk of leakage. We also have available the Soft model (flexibility 8) and the Sport model (flexibility 1). Sileu indicates the degree of flexibility on a scale from 0 to 10, a smaller value being harder, choose the most suitable for you!

• Made of 100% hypoallergenic surgical silicone, the safest and most biocompatible material that can come into contact with our body, since it will not cause any type of reaction (such as allergy or inflammation). It adapts perfectly to each woman’s anatomy and ensures 12 hours of protection without having to clean it constantly.

• It is the most economical alternative to the use of other disposable products, since its resistance allows it to be used for approximately 10 years. Its cost is amortized in 2 months.

• The manufacturing process does not use bleaching agents such as chlorine, which generate dioxins that pollute the water, air and soil and are easily stored in our fat cells. Thanks to its long shelf life, it generates less waste than tampons and sanitary napkins.
