Description
The Sileu Sport is the firmest cup in our range and also the longest. It measures 80 mm in both sizes, with a 55 mm body and a flat, thin 25 mm stem. Two features define who it is for: its silicone barely gives, so it keeps its seal when your body squeezes, and its length makes it easy to reach if your cervix sits high.
Who it is for
For women who train seriously: running, CrossFit, spinning, cycling, climbing, horse riding (see sports that strengthen and punish the pelvic floor). In all of these your abdomen and pelvic floor contract and relax constantly, and a soft cup can give way and shift. The Sport does not: it springs back instantly. It also suits anyone with a well-trained pelvic floor —hypopressives, pilates, Kegel exercises— who finds that soft cups “do not grip”. It is also the cup we suggest for the mat: see doing yoga with a menstrual cup.
If your cervix is low, however, it may be too long for you: in that case look at the Sileu Bell. And if you like the idea of firmness but prefer a shorter cup, the Sileu Rose in its Sport version follows the same philosophy at 61–69 mm.
Measurements
| Measurement | Size S | Size L |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity up to the air holes | 28 ml | 30 ml |
| Capacity up to the rim | 32 ml | 34 ml |
| Total length | 80 mm | 80 mm |
| Body length (without stem) | 55 mm | 55 mm |
| Stem length | 25 mm | 25 mm |
| Diameter | 40 mm | 45 mm |
In size S it has the largest capacity in the range (28 ml up to the air holes), useful if you have heavy periods but have not had a vaginal birth. We compare real capacities in menstrual cup for heavy flow: real capacity in ml.
What changes between size S and size L
With the Sport, both sizes are the same length, 80 mm. The difference is the rim: 40 mm in size S and 45 mm in size L, wider to seal properly if you have had a vaginal birth. Their capacity is almost the same (28 vs 30 ml up to the air holes), so the size is decided by your anatomy, not your flow. If in doubt, we explain it in how to choose between size S and L.
